Disappointing morning light, hazy smoggy look and I decided not to take any pictures of Monument Valley, while kicking myself for not getting any shots the previous evening.

We got up early enough to see sunrise from Sunrise Point, and then we drove the loop stopping at each vista point.  We entered Monument Valley as the sun was setting, and the valley was spectacular.  I didn’t stop for pictures though because I wanted to make sure we got a campsite, and I figured sunrise would be just as good or better.  The campground was interesting, with nightly showings of John Wayne movies.

Beautiful drive through Zion National Park, and we camped at Bryce in time to see the sunset light up the amphitheater hoodoos from Sunset Point.
